Shopify told me I didn’t pass the Life Story interview which was me telling about my career or essentially voicing over my CV.
My contact at Shopify told me that it was a cultural fit, but apparently they didn’t perceive the right signals. Oh well…
I did a GitHub technical screening task which was to implement a .Net backend service. And the recommended time was 2hours but the allowance was 5 hours, they haven’t come back to me yet. Anyway, I wasn’t too satisfied with it.
Now tomorrow (Monday) and the day after I’m interviewing with Facebook, final rounds. Oh, before I forget, I passed all interviews at Stack Overflow, but they’re only willing to offer a mid-level position and I’m not happy about it. It turns out I didn’t send the right signals when designing a feature with a product owner, I didn’t care much about the end user. I’ll try to fix that mistake when interviewing with Facebook. It is a good experience at least and my first potential offer in this series.
Speaking of which, I think I have 2 more options to start with, but at least I want to give myself a couple of days break (there were IBM and Spotify)
As we’ll be going back to the USA in February that I hope would open up some opportunities for me.
This whole preparation has been going for 2.5 months of straight intensity and I’m quite exhausted, but, final last push, that’s all I need :)
